Agent Technology:

ERPWEB has goal of producing a program that had humanlike intelligence. It can be achieved using Artificial intelligent Objects. Artificial Agents are self learning computer objects. This agents monitor what you do with your computer & then triggers you about changes. This agents can also talk with you, sing for you, tell a joke, search & monitor web for you, etc etc. You can also send this agent to school to learn new things on your behalf or you can teach this agent how to work for you. For example Microsoft Office now has an agent which pops up and guides you if you make mistakes or shows you new ways of doing things.

Artificial Intelligent Agent has various AI technologies built in it as follows:

• Searching Systems: There are various techniques like depth-first, breadth-first, hill-climbing & least-cost techniques used. The purpose is to provide agent intelligent searching techniques. The agent can then search for you best route from New York to Singapore given certain conditions like lowest cost, fastest travel, few stop overs etc.
• Expert System: The expert system asks you questions until it can identify an object that matches your answers. The expert system works with Knowledge base & Inference Engines (Forward or Backward) to derive desired results. The purpose of expert system is to give an agent a capability to answer your questions as expert of that subject.
• Natural Language Processing: It opens door for direct human-computer dialogs, which would bypass normal data entry via keyboard & commands via mouse.  If computer can understand what you speak & if computer can reply your answers in voice then may be monitors may not be required. Then we can create computers which fits in watches. The natural language processing gives power to agent to understand human language.
• Pattern Recognition: If a computer is to interface with the human world completely, clearly some sort of vision capability is required. The process of interpreting a digital image captured by camera is science of pattern recognition. This gives power to agent to see like human beings.
• Robotics: The intelligent software behind electro-mechanical device "Robots" doing human tasks automatically is robotics. This gives power to agent like acting on outside world devices.
• Machine Learning: Creating Programs that has ability to learn. In ERPWEB we have taught programs how to create database tables, SQL views, how to link it to menu, whom to give rights. So when you go to Application Manager & when you create new Application Document the system is learned enough to perform the normal programmers task. Similarly if computers become self learning then this would be in theory last program ever written. This gives agent a capability of self learning.
• Uncertainty logic:  Logic lies at the heart of any computer programming. For a computer to think and reason like a human, the integration of uncertainty with logic is required. This gives agent a capability of thinking like humans.
• Fuzzy Logic: Normally you hear this terminology in washing machines, TVs, Refrigerators, Air-conditions, Cars, Watches & even computers. All these appliances has a small computer called microprocessor at central controller. Fuzzy logic refers to evaluation of logical expressions that may contain unknowns. Logic can be True, False or Unknown. Unknown is solved by fuzzy logic. This gives agent a capability to reason like humans.
