Workflow Design Management

There are two types of workflow designs:

1. Document & data workflow: You can create or delete workflow document attached to menu & user using Report manager Manual Report File option. But the document attached to workflow is to be programmed manually in ERPWEB using ASP Program Templates (in version 3 this will become automatic programming). In this conditions data flows from one document to another as per business rules keyed into ASP Program using SQL. Data insert or updates from one table to another as per business logics is also done using this tools. e.g. Document Function "CopySalesOrder" in Planning which copies open Sales Order data to SalesPlan in Master Plan. The document was created using Report manager but SQLs where modified by opening this document from ERPWEB Folder into notepad or any text editor. You need to understand how database of application works to enter the SQL. This is definitely a very complicated process and we recommend you to let us modify ERP Workflow Template on your behalf at a small charge. The process is also called workflow customization.
2. User Rights for Document access workflow: This is providing user rights for documents. Defining which user will access which document's function & associated work room. The function performed by user is part of your actual e-Business process. e.g. "CopySalesOrder" Document function is to be done by user "Planner" in your company.

Providing user rights as per business work flow is very important task in setting up an online e-business. There are various ways of doing this:

1. You can also perform above tasks directly from Application Manager.
2. You can also perform above tasks directly by entering data in eITM Business Manager.

Using Workflow Manager you can setup user rights and workflow using following method:

1. This section helps you manage your workflow or user access rights design.
2. You can create, edit or delete roles for each of the documents functions to users using this option.
3. Please be careful as this will change workflow for your application.
